served for 26 years in the Air Force flying rescue helicopters in
Vietnam, reconnaissance missions around the world, and working
with intelligence collection assets in some of the world's most
volatile hot spots -- including Iraq. Charlie's wife Jan was an
Air Force nurse and his son is on active duty with the Air Force,
having already completed four rotations in Iraq.

awards during his service.

Cote Adam Cote served as an enlisted Army soldier in Bosnia in
1997 and 1998. He was commissioned as an infantry officer in 2003
in the Maine Army National Guard.
In 2004 and 2005, he served in Iraq as a platoon leader with
Maine's 133rd Engineer Battalion and led over 100 convoys in Iraq
and was in charge of many reconstruction efforts, including
building schools and medical clinics.
