Terror Strikes One Rhymin Poet |
|
Oh My God, The Towers have fallen
People shouting some are bawlin'
Steel screeching, windows breaking
As I watch my heart is aching
Hijacked plane used as a bomb
Has crashed into the Pentagon
Fourth plane was heading to DC
Passengers fought back heroically
Images flash on my tv screen
Horrific things I'd never seen
Crashing down with thunderous noise
Can't keep it together losing my poise
Terrorists struck inside the US
Jealous of freedom, is what I guess
Cowardly acts, they performed today
Know this well, they will pay
Families of victims, co-workers and friends
We wish you well as each day ends
The pain you feel is shared by all
Reach out for us you mustn't fall
Unfurl your flag and let it fly
United we stand is our reply
Stars & Stripes wave freely about
United we stand is what we shout
