September 11, 2001 will live forever in the minds, heart and soul of the American people. It touches all of us at home and our friends around the world. We cannot in a single word sum-up the anger and hurt.
I spent 21 years in the U.S. Army, was assigned to many hostile areas of the world to include more than two years in the jungles of Vietnam, but I have never held a hate for the enemy until now. I am very tired of people in this great Nation asking us to forgive and forget when things happen to our Country and our Service personnel over-seas. I am a Christian and as spiritual as the next person, but I also know that our nation has sat on its butt and allowed these evil monsters to inspire horror and disgust upon the free world.
If we had done what was right, we would have already destroyed Bin Laden, the Taliban and the pathetic leaders of other well known terrorist groups causing harm to the world.
Instead, today we see a different America, a Country united by hurt and pain, an America ready to do what it can and what it must do. America is ready to attack our enemy at Terrorist Bases and in the Nations that harbor them, even if it means civilian casualties.
On a normal day we all value the qualities of courage and valor - but after the attack on America September 11, we saw our brave fire fighters and police officers storm a flaming inferno - and we have seen a Nation turn to God in prayer. I have seen and heard stories of hundreds of Military Reservist and other Veterans wanting to be activated and sent to the Middle East. Most Countries around the world are in shock and have expressed their solidarity with the United States. The world knows that terrorist are in fact cowards, who will not face us on the battle field, but choose to kill those who can't fight back.
The entire world knows that we are a great Nation which has the courage and competence to repair the damage to our Great City, and to seek out and destroy the cowards that did this.
The greatest weapon we have in America is our faith in God and in his Grace and Power. No enemy can destroy our love and devotion to our God and our Country, so how can they expect to win?
God Bless America.
