"In principle, we would absolutely support it. I can't imagine right now how any reasonable person could object. It sounds like it makes a great deal of sense. It sounds like something worth while. It sounds like something necessary to protect the honor of people who've earned these decorations. To make sure there is a record of it is essential. People need to know how common this is. Basically, it's a theft. It's a form of stealing an honor you did not earn."
REP. NEIL ABERCROMBIE, D-Hawaii, Armed Services

Now that we have a bill, we are hoping to see Congressman Abercrombie add his name as a Co-Sponsor SOON!

VISITOR FEEDBACK

While the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT person you can give your FEEDBACK to is your own Congressman or Congresswoman, and even your TWO SENATORS (hopefully we will also have a Senate Bill soon), we realize sometimes people just need to share their opinion or vent in a public forum. You can use our online forum here to:

  • Voice your support FOR, or opposition AGAINST, the Roll of Valor Act

  • Share your own opinion on the merits of or concerns about HR 666

  • Announce to our readers YOUR SUCCESS with your own local Representatives, or share the negative responses you received from your Congressional contact.

  • Pose a question about the military records problem or the BILL to correct it. (I will monitor feedback regularly and attempt to answer these questions promptly in the same forum.)

  • Share your own story of frustration and/or success in terms of navigating the the confusing world of researching military records.
