Grover Cleveland of New Jersey was our 22nd president and served one term from 1885 - 1889.  In an 8-man bid to become 23rd President, Cleveland defeated Benjamin Harrison by a vote of 5,540,000 to 5,444,000 but lost to him by 65 electoral votes.  Four years later Cleveland ran again and WON, giving him the distinction of being BOTH our 22nd and 24th President.  No other person has served the presidency for 2 non-consecutive terms.
