Flying Tigers
Prior to December 7, 1941, a
small band of American military men volunteered to join the
American Volunteer Group (A.V.G.) to serve under Claire Chennault
in the defense of China. Following America's entry into the war,
these men became one of the few pieces of good news to come out of
the war with Japan. Their flying skills and daring service became
legendary, and they became famous under the title Flying Tigers.
