     Abigail Fillmore died in 1853 three weeks after leaving the White House (where she established a new White House Library).  In 1858 Fillmore remarried.)

POLITICAL PARTY:  Whig
HOME STATE:  New York
POLITICAL OFFICES:  U. S. Congressman, Chairman of House Ways and Means Committee, unsuccessful candidate for governor of New York (1844), Vice President.
DIED:  March 8, 1874  (Age - 74)
     BURIED:  Buffalo, New York
