Colonel Eugene Asa Carr was one of four men cited for heroism in action against rebel forces at Pea Ridge, Arkansas, on March 7, 1862. Colonel Carr directed the deployment of his command and held his ground, under a brisk fire of shot and shell in which he was wounded several times. Graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1850 |
