His familiarity with different industries is broad having clients with prominent names such as the Amoco Oil, CIGNA Insurance, Southland Corporation, Owens-Corning and the Department of Defense.
His main areas of interest were in business insurance and commercial general contracting. The most notable of his companies was the American Hospitality Association, Inc. that provided a unique multi-line insurance program to the hospitality industry insuring thousands of restaurants nationwide. Insurance companies throughout the nation, including The Travelers, have cloned this conceptual program.
Mr. Lemon invested in Darnell-Lemon, Inc., a struggling commercial general contracting firm. He developed a complex reorganization and niche marketing plan that succeeded in turning this company into a very profitable organization working with "Fortune 500" companies such as Exxon, Phillips, Total Petroleum and Conoco.
Mr. Lemon procured Probus Inc., and as president he headed this organization developing insurance programs for national associations and brokers. This included a Nurses Professional Liability Program for the 70,000 members of the National Organization of Health Care Professionals.
