Not shown above is the Presidential Unit Citation that Cpl Brown also received. Cpl Brown went on to graduate from Willamette University where he excelled in sports. From there he went into teaching and public school administration. Along the way he coached two state championships, one each in football and baseball. Of his three children, two served in the military as well. Today he is retired and is a part time rancher living in Oregon.
