1st Lt. Herbert W. Stanford, US Army Air Forces, Brockport, NY, age 23 was Killed In Action 18 July 1944 when his P-47 Thunderbolt was shot-down by German fighter aircraft over Rabodanges, France. Prior to his service in WW-II Lt. Stanford was an employee of Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY
