Born Charleroi, Pennsylvania, August 31, 1918
Enlisted in Marine Corps 1 September 1936
Held nearly every rank and assignment in the infantry Battalion from private to Commanding Officer.
Received "Battlefield Commission" Platoon Sergeant to Lieutenant, at Guadalcanal on December 19, 1942
Field Experience: Philippines, China, Cuba, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, New Guinea, Cape Gloucester, New Britain Island, Pavuvu, Russell Islands, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.
Director of all Marine Corps Schools in Japan...1954
Attended Amphibious Warfare School, Quantico, VA
Army Language School at The Presidio of Monterey, California
Retired, United States Marine Corps 1 July 1964

RETIREMENT
Engaged in Research & Development of miniature rockets, miniature rocket weapon systems, penetration aids, and hypervelocity acceleration, while associated with "MB Associates", Science and Rocketry Company, San Ramon, California. Tested their 13mm Hand Gun and Foliage Penetration Signal Distress Kit while in combat in Vietnam, 1967.

Engaged in R&D of air-inflated devices and related recovery equipment.

Inventor of the "TUPIT" (The Universal Paige Inflatable Tent), donated to the U.S. Army Laboratories, Natick, MA

Salesman for "Western Die-casting Corp", Oakland, California

Insurance Sales for Franklin Life Insurance Company

Author, Autobiography of Mitchell Paige..."A Marine Named Mitch" first published 1975.

Speaker and lecturer for "project alert" Anti-Communist school in Los Angeles.

Special Ambassador...Represented President Reagan, with the U.S. State Department in The Solomon Islands, at the 10th anniversary of Guadalcanal's independence from England.

Liaison Officer from The Congressional Medal of Honor Society to The FBI. Works with assigned Special FBI Agent exposing Congressional Medal of Honor imposters.

Chosen Marine "GI Joe" Action Figure (WWII)...produced in 1998 by Hasbro Toy Company.

Member of California State Governors "Blue Ribbon Task Force" on Veterans homes.
