The Books below are BOTH NEW and include the citations for ALL awards of the Army DSM (2,144@) and Navy DSM (340@)) from inception of the award through 1942, as published in War Departments "Decorations, Unites States Army, 1862-1925" & supplements and in Stringer's "Navy Book of Distinguished Service."

The HomeOfHeroes ENHANCED RESEARCH LIBRARY is a special area of our website for those who want MORE!!!! While they comprise only a small fraction of the TOTAL pages in our website, this area contains some of the RICHEST information and is the result of some of our heaviest research.

The ENHANCED LIBRARY is a MEMBERS ONLY area, available by SUBSCRIPTION ($100 per year). Income derived from those who join this area of our site provides the funds necessary to keep the remainder of this site FREE, as well as investment funds to obtain additional citations for posting. Some of the features of this area include:

• Citations - Currently more than 25,000 citations including nearly all Air Force Cross Citations, 85% of all Navy Cross citations, 70% of all Distinguished Service Cross citations, and more than 5,000 citations or synopsis for Silver Star Awards. We are also in the process of adding THOUSANDS of citations for awards of the Distinguished Service Medals in efforts to eventually post the citations for the nearly 150,000 awards of the top four levels of the Pyramid of Honor. (The free area of our site will continue to carry the names of award recipients, but citations will ONLY be available in this MEMBER ONLY LIBRARY.

• Detailed Indexes - Recipients of major valor awards are listed by war, by branch of service, even by military specialty (e.g. Rangers, Navy Corpsmen, Marine Raiders, etc.) in indexes by Alphabetical and by Chronological order.

• Databases - As we build, we will be making available many of these indexes in downloadable EXCEL worksheets that will allow researchers to sort, filter, and parse out specific data.

• FREE Books - Presently you can download citations for the above awards broken out by war and branch of service in printable, full-color books. More than TWO DOZEN such citation books are currently available with more coming.

• Special Features - We will be constantly looking for ideas for special features our visitors are sure to find of interest. Among the first of these is a "Most Decorated" series of profiles, individual pages containing the citations for ALL valor awards to some of the most decorated heroes in history.
