Statistics:

A total of 1,298 Navy Crosses were Awarded to members of the U.S. Navy for heroism or distinguished service during World War I.  Of these, many were awarded for heroism or distinguished service during the period of the war without specific dates of action.  For research purposes, we have divided them into the following categories.
