A special thanks to Paul L. Cathell, Jr. of the Delaware Medal of Honor Historical Association (DMOHHA) for the photos in this page.

The DMOHHA has taken a leadership role in The First State to honor its Medal of Honor recipients.  Over the last couple years, Medal of Honor headstones have been placed and properly dedicated at the graves of Delaware's greatest military heroes.  (Thumbnail at right shows the dedication at the grave of John Shilling on December 2, 2000
