Is Facing a Financial Crisis

The kind giving of several friends has raised nearly half the amount
needed to cover our unpaid obligations, but we are still quite a bit short of the immediate need. At present it does look like we will be temporarily off line on or about April 18, but we have some anticipated income that we hope will get us back up here quickly. 

Due the sheer size, scope and impact of HomeOfHeroes.com, many people probably believe this website is the work of a large team with consistent and plentiful financial backing. 

IT IS NOT!

HomeOfHeroes.com is written, maintained and operated by a single individual who spends hundreds of hours every month making all this possible. Total income last year from sponsors, donations, and the limited advertising was less than $20,000. (That's a pretty lean budget for a website that got 18 MILLION PAGE VIEWS last year). This year our income has dropped to half that.

Through the end of March our shortfall thus far for the year is more than $3,500. In fact, had it not been for a generous $1,000 gift from the Pueblo Medal of Honor Foundation in March, this website would already be off line.

We now have an IMMEDIATE need to raise $2,500 to deal with our arrears through the end of March, and an additional $1,000 to get us through the end of April.

We have an anticipated sponsor renewal in May and again in July that we believe will carry us well into the fall, but without dealing with our overdue obligations we will be off-line after April 18 when the grace period on our server billing ends.
