I am looking for anyone that served with or under the command of my brother,Command Sgt. Major Dennis L. Rue. He was enlisted from 1950-1975 and was stationed a good part of that time at Ft. Riley,KS. He is deceased and buried at Ft. Riley. I am his younger sister by 20 years and would like to talk with anyone who knew him. Thank you.

Hey lonely cowgurl,

Unfortunately, I can't help you at all because my brother was barely enlisted in the Army during the Korean Conflict. So he was low on the pole then.....during Vietnam he was in high ranks. He served from about 1950-1975. The best way to start looking for anyone who knew or served with your Grandfather is to post a message looking for: start with his rank and what unit and post he was attached to....maybe in old family records. I was lucky enough to get connected to guys who served with him in Vietnam and at Ft. Riley,KS. If you can locate or view your Grandfather's discharge papers it will give you something to work with. Good luck to you. Sharon

To Lonely Cowgurl

Please note that it is extremely unwise to place such personal information on a public board.
