In preparation for the
year 2000 Medal of
Honor Society Convention held in Pueblo, Colorado; our local newspaper also printed a
SPECIAL SUPPLEMENT on Sunday, September 17, 2000. Two sections, containing 44 pages of
history and inspiration, this supplement is perhaps as well done as anything that can be
found not only on the Medal of Honor, but in honor of all veterans. The supplement

15-minute, professionally filmed and produced documentary of the activities, followed by
the entire Patriots Awards Dinner featuring athletes Gene Fullmer, Pat La Fontaine, David
Robinson, Brooks Robinson and Arnold Palmer; as well as the awards presentations to Bill
Mauldin and Paul Harvey.

A special series of Medal of Honor Posters
was commissioned by the Home Of Heroes Convention 2000, each poster created by portrait
artist John Silva. Each poster features four Medal of Honor Recipients as shown
below. Several thousand were printed, and a few hundred remain after the event.
You can purchase them directly from the chairman of the Convention Committee for $5
each.
