Stories of American Heroes - Brought to you from the "Home of Heroes" - Pueblo, Colorado

HomeOfHeroes needs YOU to help us stay online and growing.

When this website was launched in July 1998 we could never have imagined it would grow so large, touch so many lives, or become so prominent.  I often fear that many of our visitors are inclined to believe it is developed by a large team with corporate or other funding.  This is not the case.  From its inception this has been a one-man project without any support beyond that which Pam and I personally invested, and the contributions of a few friends who believe in what we are doing.

We are both happy to commit our time and resources to this project, because we believe in its mission.  We are determined that our nation's history and heritage IS NOT FOR SALE, and are bent on sharing freely.  When you think about the fact that you can enjoy this website without being inundated with advertisements, that all of our material including full-color books are free, and that unlike many other sites we do NOT have a sign-up or entrance fee, please remember that SOMEONE has to pay to make this available.

The growth and demands of HomeOfHeroes.com have required our full-time attention (I've spent an average of 60-80 hours a week over the last three years, building and maintaining this site, answering thousands of e-mails, making and receiving related phone calls, and much more....all at our own expense.)  Throughout this period I have done my best to keep the site from becoming commercialized.  The fact remains, however, without financial support there is a limit to how much longer we can continue to maintain this project.  Of equal importance is the fact that the time I've had to commit to personal jobs to support my family and pay bills for this site (I'm an instructor at a local community college), have limited my time and ability to continue to "grow" the site.

It doesn't take a lot.  If one out of every 1,000 visitors contributed $1, or if one out of every 10,000 visitors could give $10, it would more than secure the future of this website and allow us to grow much more.  If you like what you see here, and want to share in the exciting work of this website, please consider supporting it financially.  No contribution is too small.
